Huntington Park HS: Named the Eastern League Most Valuable Player as a senior after winning the league championship and LA City Section championship in the 800 meters (1:54)… Qualified for the State Prelims and posted a personal best time of 1:53… Helped the team win the league title… Won the league championship in the 200 meters and ran a leg of the 400-meter relay team as a sophomore, while coming in second place in the 100 meters and third as a member of the 1600-meter relay team… Was a member of the track and field and cross country teams…..
